What got you into doing a dream journal?

  • I was intrigued by a YouTube video that I saw. I’m kind of aiming to have a lucid dream one day, and that’s when I started to dream journal a little more often. It’s still a work in progress, and I haven’t lucid dreamed yet, but even if I don’t, it’s really fun to remember when my brain goes haywire with it’s imagination while I sleep.

What about lucid dreaming interests you so much?

  • You can do pretty much anything you want in those dreams.

How do you dream journal? What’s your process?

  • Well, first of all, I sleep early. Mainly around 9:30 or 10:00, worst case scenario being 10:30. I don’t stay up late like other people do. Also, the main thing in the YouTube video was your belief that if you can remember it, you will remember it, and it just takes time and skill to do it. You also try to remember what your dream is before you wake up, so you won’t forget it as easily.

What is one of your most memorable dreams?

  • I think my favorite one has to be from a solid month ago, where there was this monster-infecting apocalyptic world where we get infected and turn into monsters. I was maybe a scientist, but I don’t really know, and I was tasked to find the cure. Along the way I turn into a monster, and I imagined it was kind of like a fluff-ball with bunny ears. Then I kind of continued on to find the cure, and I don’t really know the whole process of it, but it was adventure-centered, which I love. In the end, I was able to find the cure and also write a book about it, so this was kind of my most favorite dream. I also remembered it clearly, too, instead of the jumbled up one-pagers that I write.

Do you think your dreams have any underlying messages in them?

  • I don’t think so, I think that it’s purely my imagination portraying what I like and dislike and creating a story from it. Sometimes I find my favorite anime character hanging around, and I saw my family, especially my little sister, and my classmates– I even saw you (interviewer). As far as I know, I think it’s just me and my brain.
